Avoid taking antacids such as Rolaids, Tums, Maalox, or Pepcid close to your dosing time when you are taking Allegra, as these types of medicines can decrease the effectiveness of this drug. Pregnant or nursing women should make sure that they inform their doctor of this before they use Allegra.
