At first, there was only one way for men to treat the symptoms of Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and that was Pfizer’s Viagra. Then, after extensive clinical reviews and consideration, Eli Lilly & Co. released Cialis, the longest lasting ED drug currently on the market. Cialis offers its users something that other ED treatments cannot, a 36-hour window in which they can have assistance with sexual intimacy. Ever since Cialis was approved for use, men around the world have enjoyed being able to have sex at the spur of a moment, rather than being confined to a set schedule. The benefits of Cialis are obvious: take the pill, and become intimate when you choose, not within 3-5 hours, allowing for a much freer and natural sexual lifestyle.
You should only take Cialis as directed by your physician, as every person’s medical situation is unique. Cialis comes in 20 mg, 10 mg and 5 mg doses; your doctor will decide which dosage level is right for you. Cialis is taken orally at least 30 minutes prior to anticipated sexual activity, and lasts up to 36 hours in the system, so you do not have to plan your intimacy.
Years of research into the realm of ED and its causes have yielded a wealth of medical knowledge. The main artery which controls blood flow to the penis is regulated by the PDE5 enzyme, found in abundance in males who suffer from ED. Cialis inhibits this PDE5 enzyme, allowing for the arteries to relax and allow the blood to flow freely into the main shaft of the penis. When taken as directed, Cialis provides a 36-hour window for males suffering from ED to enjoy prolonged sexual intimacy and a firm, long-lasting erection.
Like most drugs on the market, Cialis does have some side effects which include: stuffy or running nose, upset stomach, facial flushing, and in some cases a visual blurring and the presence of a blue-haze in the vision. In rare cases, a prolonged erection can occur, which does require medical treatment to avoid injury. In very rare cases, a sudden and temporary loss of vision or hearing occurred. This may or may not have been attributed to the effects of Cialis, but does require immediate medical attention.
While there are two other ED drugs currently on the market, neither of them come close to providing the lasting effect of Cialis. Viagra is lauded as the most potent, lasting about 3-4 hours in the system. Levitra is known to work faster, and lasts about 5-7 hours in the system. Cialis lasts the longest, at 24-36 hours, allowing for you to achieve normalcy when reviving natural and spontaneous sexual activity.
In clinical studies of Cialis, the drug was shown to have great results in males suffering from ED, even if their symptoms were severe, as compared to a placebo (sugar-pill).
Cialis provided the following benefits to adult males who suffered from impotency.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that daily usage of the male Erectile Dysfunction (ED) treatment, Cialis is safe for daily usage. At the same time they have mandated that the daily usage dose be much lesser in strength than the typical 10 mg dosage levels given to patients. The makers of Cialis, Eli Lilly & Co., plan to release a smaller, daily dose version of 2.5 mg and 5 mg in the near future. The company plans to sell these daily dose versions at the same value to the consumer as they currently pay for the higher dosage version.
