Counterfeit Cialis Cases on the Rise

A recent seizure of counterfeit Cialis in Canada has prompted warnings from Health Canada. Officials say the number of counterfeit pills is increasing and many of these fraudulent medications pose a serious health risk.

This case, coupled with an increase in the number fake medical sites claiming to sell real prescription medications, has prompted health officials to take action. Health Canada and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration have issued warnings about these sites, advising consumers to only buy medications from trusted online facilitators.

According to the FDA, it’s estimated that 97 percent of online pharmacies aren’t following state and federal laws. Many of these rogue sites lure customers in with promises of cheap drugs and then ship dangerous counterfeit medications to their door.
